During the preliminary show the 19 contestants will need to excel in three separate categories: athletic wear/swimsuit, evening gown, and interview. Preliminaries will kick off on Oct 25 while the finals will be on Oct 26.

- Regan Ringler, 22, of Clinton graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Business Administration and currently she's a master's student studying Organizational Leadership at University of Trevecca Nazarene according to her page on Linkedin. Ringler had crowned Miss Clinton's Outstanding Teen 2014 and placed the fourth runner up in Miss Mississippi USA 2017.

- Kerrie Blakeney, 24, of Oxford graduated with a bachelors degree in business administration from William Carey University and now she's working in LivaNova which is a medial device sales company. According to her Facebook page her work in this company is programming a neuromodulation device to help treat patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.
Also in the beginning of the year Blakeney start to work as a model for JEA Model Management.

In Miss Mississippi USA 2019 pageant, Harper wins the evening wear competition with handmade dress during the preliminary show, Vicksburg post reports.
