Jane is a student at Haslam Collage of Business at the University of Tennessee and currently she is working as a supply chain management intern at L'Oréal.
The 21 years old of Waxhaw has won Miss North Carolina Teen USA in 2014 and placed the second runner up at Miss Teen USA 2015 in the Bahamas.
Other finalists in the North Carolina competition included fourth runner-up Miss High Point Erika Turner, third runner-up Miss City of Oaks Hannah Welborn-Lewis, second runner-up Miss Wilmington Christina Thompson, and first runner-up Miss Mecklenburg County Madison Bryant.
Cheslie Kryst of Charlotte Miss North Carolina USA 2019 -who has won Miss USA 2019 - handed over her title to Janer at the end of the event.
At the same night, Peyton Brown of Tri County was crowned Miss North Carolina USA 2020 after competing against 26 contestants in in three equal phases : Active Wear, Evening Gown, and Interview.

"It feels like a dream! I am the new Miss North Carolina Teen USA 2020!" Peyton wrote on her Instagram page after the crowning.
Peyton was placed in the first runner-up at Miss NC's Outstanding Teen 2019.
Top five in the Miss NC Teen 2020 competition were :
1 ST Runner Up is Miss Lake Norman, Gabriel Barnhart
2 ST Runner Up is Miss Pineland, London Tucker
3 ST Runner Up is Miss Harrisburg, Ansley Minor
4 ST Runner Up is Miss Winterville, Olivia Mclaughlin
