Beautiful delegates from all around the world are preparing to compete in the 68th edition of the Miss Universe competition which will be held on Sunday, Dec 8, at the Tyler Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. The three hour pageant will air live on FOX T.V at 7 p.m. ET/PT and it will be streamed live at watch.missuniverse.com .
The pageant set to be hosted by the comedian Stephen Harvey for the fifth consecutive year while the backstage correspondents are the former Miss Universe 2018 Olivia Culpo and former Miss USA Teen 1998 Vanessa Lachey.
On Friday night, amazing 90 contestants took the stage in front of a panel of judges to participate in three contests during the preliminary round : swimsuit, evening gown and national costume.
The national costume round ,which doesn't count towards delegates final scores, allows the beautiful women to show their country's traditional and culture dress.
The USA delegate Cheslie Kryst took the stage wearing a dress designed by Martin Izquierdo and inspired by some of iconic American symbols including Lady Justice and Maya Angelou.reports Hollywood Life.
The Canadian contestant, Alyssa Boston wore one of the wildest custome at the night as she donned a green outfit inspired by the legalization of marijuana in her country in 2018. Another delegates also chose to make societal statement like Miss Brazil, Julia Horta as she wore a soccer jersey with a banner read " Stop violence against women".
During the event yesterday, the contestants shins also in the swimsuit round as they shows off their perfect figures. But some of the contestants ( Miss France, Miss New Zealand, Miss Malta, Miss Indonesia, Miss Malaysia) were left red-faced as they fall on satge. Apparently the stage was wet as a break was taken to sweep the floor.
The Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray of the Philippines will crown her successor with a new crown made by luxury jeweler Mouawad at the end of the event.
