Megan Swanson Crowned Miss Nebraska USA 2020 ( Video & Photos )

Megan Swanson of Omaha was crowned Miss Nebraska USA 2020 in a ceremony was held on Sunday night, Jan 12 at Rose Blumkin Performing Arts Center in Omaha and she's ready to represent Nebraska to compete against contestants from across the U.S. in the Miss USA 2020 competition which will be held next spring. The winner of the Miss USA competition will go on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

The 25 years old holds a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music from Belmont University. Megan currently owns a company called Powerhouse Pageantry which helping women to win beauty pageants according to her page on Linkedin.

The young woman also is a singer and songwriter and it’s no surprise as her family are musicians. Megan has a great experience with pageants as she won Miss Nebraska 2014 competition and her sister is Allie Swanson, Miss Nebraska 2019.

Megan wins the crown after competing with 19 contestants in three equal areas of competition : swimsuit, evening gown, and interview. 

The top five finalist in Miss Nebraska USA 2020 were :

- First runner up -- Erika Etzelmiller of South Lincoln 

- Second runner up -- Samantha Washington of  Star City

- Third runner up -- Mimi Wood of Metro Omaha

- Fourth runner up-- Tope Banwo of West Omaha


During the ceremony, Audrey Eckert has won the title of Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2020 and she will have the chance to represent Nebraska in Miss USA Teen 2020 pageant.
