| Asya Danielle Branch Miss Mississippi America 2018 Crowning |
Asya Danielle Branch, Miss Northeast MS was crowned Miss Mississippi USA 2020 on Saturday, Oct 26 at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino in the Bluesville Theatre in Tunica. Asya is no stranger to winning as she was crowned Miss Mississippi America in 2018.
The Booneville native will represent Mississippi for Miss USA 2020 title which will be held on the spring.The 21 years old is is studying broadcast journalism at The University of Mississippi.

Asya has made history after winning the title as she became the first African-American to win Miss Mississippi USA. " I am a daughter, a sister, a scholar, a community and campus leader, a nanny for a special needs child, and my dad is in jail. Talk about getting the attention of a classroom full of rowdy children." Asya told Miss America.org.
Throughout the show, Asya participated in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown, and interview.
During the even also Zoe Bigham, Miss Louisville Teen was crowned Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2020.
